FAQ
How long is a treatment?
Initial treatment session will last approximately 1 hour. A thorough medical history will be taken at that time. Subsequent sessions will last 45mins to 1 hour.
What should I wear?
Bowen Therapy and Emmett Therapy are performed over cotton clothing. Please could you wear a plain cotton t-shirt, with cotton jogging trousers / leggings / shorts or similar. If you aren't coming straight from home, bring a change of clothes with you and you can get changed privately at the clinic before your session. Please do not wear jeans, thick clothing, cargo trousers or rubber graphics on clothing.
What is the cost of a treatment session?
Costs:
Children over 1 year and Adults - £45
Babies under 12 months - £25 babies treatment session lasts approximately 30 mins
Can I mix Bowen or Emmett with other complementary therapies?
It is not advised to mix any other therapy alongside Bowen as your body is still responding to the treatment over the days following. Your nervous system needs time to respond and your body adjust without further input. Also, it will give you a better idea of what is working for you, if you have a great positive response but have added in another therapy it's impossible to know which one actually helped.
How many treatments will I need?
The majority of clients require three sessions (a week apart), but this will depend upon your individual condition and how you respond to treatment. It can be helpful to have a single follow up treatment every few months after your initial course to keep on top of a problem or for general relaxation and body balancing.
Is Bowen a form of Massage?
No Bowen is not a form of massage.
Bowen works in a completely different way. No oils are used and you do not need to undress.
Do you work with Corporate Companies?
Yes, I love working with Corporate companies who are interested and invested in looking after the wellbeing of their hard working staff.

Do you offer Gift Certificates?
Yes, I do offer Gift Certificates. Theses can be made out for any amount or number of treatment sessions you require. You can collect them from myself or I can post them to the recipient on your behalf.
Do you work with animals?
Yes, I do work with animals. Bowen and Emmett are just as effective, if not more in my opinion, on animals as humans.
I am a fully qualified Insured Emmett for Horses Practitioner Advanced. I have been working with horses using Bowen on family and friends horses and in clinic with horse riders for a few years now with fantastic results and adding Emmett has again elevated the responses. Horse and rider are a true partnership, balance the rider & the horse and they are the perfect high performance team. I also work on my own pets, cats, dogs, and sheep.
